Curriculum Vitae
Max joined the office in 2000 after several years of employment in Washington, DC. Following graduation from law school in l997, Max accepted a position in the Public Safety and Wireless Division of the Federal Communications Commission working on legal, technical and policy issues and drafting orders and opinions. He moved to a large DC law firm where he represented major communication companies in litigation and regulatory matters with a focus on regulatory and transactional aspects of communication law.
While attending Syracuse University College of Law, Max was elected to membership in the Moot Court Honor Society, was named to the ATLA National Trial Team and was a Semi-Finalist in the 19th Annual Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition. He interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of New York and clerked for the Hon. Neal P. McCurn, U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York. Max received his B.A. from Dartmouth College where he was principal bass in the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra and played defense for the Dartmouth College ice hockey team. Prior to commencing law school, Max worked as an Editorial Assistant at The Hotline, a national daily political newspaper.
Max concentrates his practice in the area of medical malpractice defense and professional licensure matters. He also represents individuals and companies in premises, products and automobile liability claims.
Max is a member of the New York State and Onondaga County Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Onondaga Pastoral Counseling Center. Max spends his free time trying to lower his handicap and playing music with various local bands.
